    I think condemned means unlivable. You may have to talk to the agency (city county etc) that condemned it to see if repairs can
    change the condemned ruling before pursuing further.

    If it can't be changed you would have to raze the building and start from scratch.

    Go to the town hall that the property is in. Check with the building Inspector to see why it is condemned? Health hazard? Fire hazard, Structual? You may not even want to get involved at that point. If it's something you could overcome, then go to the Assessors office and ask to see the "Property Record Card" for that particular property. It will give you the owners name, mailing address and all the info. on the property. Ask the assessors office if they have anyother info on the property. They may know about the situation regarding the condemnation. If your still interested at this point, look up the owners name in your local phone book, call them and make an offer!!
