My credit score is 506 and I am traveling to Germany but I need a credit card with at least a $2000 limit or more to pay for my airline tickets.
I only have bad credit because i am lazy I just don't pay off my bills and I am not in serious debt I just didn't have any money saved for this trip because it was unexpected and "I have to go" for personal reason. |

You can't afford to do something if you have to CHARGE IT. Read Suzy Ormans book before you end up in severe debt. Credit cards are for EMERGENCIES like car or home repair.....

Not likely to happen unless you have a rich uncle. credit card companies want at least 650 to get a $2k limit most likely higher.

Been there, done that, and it's not fun. Just save every penny you get. If you don't have enough, keep on saving until next year. If your job allows over time, do all you can. Germany isn't going anywhere.

You really don't need a credit card to pay for airline tickets, unless you are saying you can't afford to buy them without using credit. You can use any prepaid visa or mastercard
to buy tickets, and at least in the case of my bank, if I want to buy a single large item which is usually above my daily debit card limit, I call them the day before and let them know who I'll be making the purchase from.. they then lift the ceiling on my debit card for that day. Getting a 2K credit card will be very hard with a 506 score.. about the only choice I can think of is a local credit union, but they may not be willing to go that far. |

Advice to you;
First cancel that Germany Trip because that a Luxury you can't afford. Second, if you cannot pay the Full Credit Card Balance then don't use Credit Cards and don't give the Bank Guys your money!!! Most of use don't make enough money at work, so we have to go by some rule of thumb. Example, all you need is some food so as not to starve, clothes so you don't freeze and you don't really need a roof over your head since it's now okay to be a street person. Don't use Credit Cards if you have to pay the Bank Interest Payments!!! |

You can't afford the trip, simple as that. You will not get a $2000 credit card with a 506 score. The fact that you admit to being lazy to pay your bills, shows your lax attitude towards financial responsibility, and your credit score and report are proof of that. You will have a very hard time in life with a mindset like that....

Honestly, like everyone else has been saying, you're probably not going to get that credit limit with that credit score.
If you just have a problem with paying on time, but you're still paying more or all your credit cards in full at the end of the month you still have a chance. Can you have a credit card company that you already have a card with increase your limit. You may have a bit of explaining to do with your credit score, but if you have the income to support the credit and your debt and you don't have any currently late credit cards, you may be able to get that increase. Ask to talk to a credit representative if you don't get the automatic increase. They're the ones who can increase your limit or reconsider an auto declined increase request. Good luck. And look into automatic payments on your credit cards. Payment history is a huge part of your credit score. |

see if you can find one here: http://www.creditcardxpo.com/bad-credit-credit-cards.asp They got pretty much all the credit cards out there for people with bad credit. You may need to rebuild your credit first before you are qualified for a high credit limit.

There are many credit cards available to people with poor / no credit. Orchard Bank and First Premier are two of the most popular issuers. You'll also have to decide between 'secured' and 'unsecured'. Since you won't pay a security deposit with an unsecured credit card, I would try that first.

None of these people actually answered your question. I will try! Get the New Millennium Bank Platinum Visa or MasterCard, its designed for people that don't have the best credit and has limits up to $10,000. It shouldn't be a problem getting a line of $2,000. If you use applyfastbankcards to apply you could get $20

Try MBNA. They are very genourous with their credit limits. Not sure with a 506 score but I guess it is worth a shot.

Get a HSBC card: Some of the well known HSBC credit cards are: HSBC Platinum MasterCard, HSBC Cash Back Rewards MasterCard, HSBC Cash or Fly Rewards MasterCard etc. The primary benefit of these cards is the 0% introductory Annual Percentage Rate on purchases and balance transfer from 6-12 months, right from the day the account is opened. All these cards offer online account management services.
Innovating periodically gives HSBC credit cards the competitive advantage over other credit cards. New features and lucrative deals are introduced regularly. A good example of this innovation is the American DreamCard. http://www.complete-debt-info.com/category/HSBC-Credit-Cards.html |
