Hi, my colleague thinks that it is considered illegal to seek employment when you already are emplyed. Is it really illegal? I mean - if the person looking for a job is NOT doing it at work, and does NOT miss work to attend job interviews?
Please advice!!!! thanks nat x |

It is not illegal to look for work whilst in work. Just make sure your employers don't find out.

It's not illegal, but you need to check your contract as your employer may not allow it

If this were true, then it'd be impossible for people to have multiple jobs.
Your current employer might not like the idea, but you don't need to tell them, and many prospective employers are sensitive to the idea that you probably don't want your current employer knowing. |

it is often wise to have a job before you leave the current job.
