I've been working at RadioShack in Huntsville, AL for about 2 or 3 months now. I started off at part time ($6.50/hr) and my manager said I had the highest sells for a part time in the region. I just recently got moved to full time ($7/hr). We are required to sell $75/hr to get our performance spiff/commission. I am 23 and have a baby on the way and I'm getting married next month and the pay isn't too good for me. This week I made $351 (34 hrs) before taxes and that includes my $50 cellular spiff and my $50 performance spiff. Yesterday, I sold $250 and hr for them, thats over triple what I am suppose to do, in about 8 hours I sold over $2000 worth of products for them. I haven't seen anyone come close to that much and hour since I've worked there or heard anyone there do that much and horu. I am now working between 38 to 41 hours a week. What should I do or where should I go? I need more money, I plan on going to school too online or something.
Help... |

Go to school to further your education. Unfortunately there are way too many jobs that don't pay a living wage (so sad), the more education you can get, the better you can be. BTW--sales positions in the auto industry or something like it is an excellent way to make money and you seem to have sales experience. Good Luck.

I don't think it would hurt to look around for a job that pays better while you go back to school. If you're as good at your job as you say, than you deserve more money and/or a managerial position!

I am in the same boat, but I am married and I have 2 kids. The only way to get ahead is to find something part time that wont get in the way of spending time with your family. It sounds like you can sell so do all you can to sell. This has helped me! http://www.ruprotected.net
I don't like to feel stuck. If you can get a holed of something, RUN with it. The key to Success if failure. Find a Void and Fill it. |
